ALTAR GUILD
This organization rarely has a meeting but is a very vital part of St. John.  Members are responsible for cleaning the chancel area; preparing for communion; washing communion ware; laundering the altar linens; watering plants throughout the church; and laundering the robes for assistant ministers and acolytes.  Contact the church office, 402-643-2983.

HAND-QUILTING GROUP
Meets Mondays at 1:30pm in the lower level of the Child Development Center.  They  hand-quilt for others with funds given to missions.  Contact Norma Brott, 402-643-3993.

COMFORTERS
This group meets at 10:00am every Tuesday in the lower level of the Child Development Center. They create quilt tops with a filling and a backer and then prep them for tying and sewing.  They are always looking for fabric and old sheets plus light weight blankets to use.  The quilts are taken to Orphan Grain Train for distribution worldwide. AUDIO TAPE MINISTRY and DVD MINISTRY
Audio tapes are made of our Sunday traditional service and, upon request, delivered to those unable to attend services; DVDs are also made of services and available upon request; call the church office, 402-643-2983.

COMMUNION FOR SHUT-INS AND HOSPITALIZED
Our Pastor for Visitation and Pastoral Care serves communion at the Ridgewood Care Center, Greene Place, Brookdale (Seward Heartland Park), Memorial Hospital/other area hospitals, and Seward Manor on a monthly basis and at the homes of shut-ins (call church office to request communion).

PARISH HEALTH MINISTRY
This ministry provides free blood pressure screenings on the first Sunday of the even numbered months in the church narthex 9:45 – 10:45am.  They set up transportation to medical appointments upon request and provide many healthful tips/projects assisting members of the congregation to be good stewards of the body God has given them.
